Urban Waters – Bhubaneswar

As one of the country’s rapidly growing cities, Bhubaneswar is grappling with a water crisis due to rising pressure on its water system. The primary source of water for the city is the River Mahanadi. But, with growing demand, this dependency has become extremely fragile. There’s increasing groundwater extraction, with several areas showing signs of stress. The city has been integrating decentralized wastewater treatment systems.
